If you have 2378, it is a 35 footer. The last I saw it was in NW division. As previously mentioned, everyone, including me, has made that mistake.

Maybe the reference was to 2324 (unless it went to another contractor).

Just saying that I saw an Orion on the #326 today heading eastbound on Irving Park. It just zoomed past me so all I could tell was that it was a 2300. I always thought 326 was run from the Pace West Division until recently I learned that it is runned out of the Academy/Pace Operations.

I operate Pace buses through Academy. We are assigned the 326 W Irv. Most of the time it will be assigned with Orions but occasionally you will see a 6600 Nabi on this route, I worked 326 once.

Academy is part of Colonial Coach lines based in Mt Prospect. Academy is contracted out by Pace to operate 6 NW suburban routes. These routes include Pace 326,600,606,616.696,699. We are Pace contracted operators. If you go to the Rosemont transit Ctr, NW Transit Ctr/Schaumburg or Woodfield Mall look closely at an operators badge on these routes I just stated. You will see "Academy" on their badges along with the Pace logo and badge #. Pace assigns about 28 buses, 9 NABI 35ft. 6604-6612 and 19 Orions 22/2300 series 40ft. at Colonial's storage yard on Busse Rd. just north of the I-90 tollway. We are not Pace employees but we operate their buses under the rules and regulations set forth by Pace. I enjoy the work Im doing, I love the opportunity to operate Pace equipment coming from a CTA background. Also being a small operation, it feels like working for a small transit operation similar to Rockford, Kenosha or Beloit, Wis., small town transit systems with small bus fleets. Im really enjoying it! :)

I shocked today when I saw 6606 operating on the #606 Northwest Limited, is Academy running NABI's on that route now?

Yes, That is correct Academy has been assigning one Nabi bus #6606 on the 606, Run #15, I saw it today at Woodfield Mall. I was operating Orion 2330 Run 28, a 606/600 combination.

I guess 2330 isn't at North Shore anymore, but with losing route 426, they didn't need 2 buses.

Going slightly off topic, it doesn't appear that North Shore's assignments make sense at the moment. Runs that had 40 foot buses now have 2600s, and vice versa.

Pace Orion #2330 has been at Academy since June, Good bus! It looks as though #2316 is off the roster at Academy, #2300 is back in service after having been down for a while. That bus was a dog! It really dragged. We just got #2301 a couple weeks ago and #2303 last week from Pace NW. I wish they would send us the Nova Classics to Academy, at least 3 or 4 of them would be nice.

Nova Classics are my favorite canadian buses. I agree with you that Academy should have some Novas, especially from Southwest Division since they dont use them often since 835 been eliminated.

I cant believe what I spotted today, Pace Orion #2303. It was running on the 270 Milwaukee NB. I guess it was sent back to Northwest. We did get a couple of Academy/Pace buses running again so it probably was sent back to Des Plaines for that reason. Too bad, 2303 was a good bus.
